M-A | Prevalência global e regional de multimorbidade na população adulta

Resumo: O artigo apresenta uma revisão sistemática e metanálise de pesquisas que estimaram a prevalência de multimorbidade entre adultos vivendo na comunidade. O estudo analisou dados de 126 estudos, incluindo quase 15,4 milhões de pessoas de 54 países em todo o mundo. A prevalência global geral de multimorbidade foi de 37,2%, com a América do Sul tendo a maior prevalência, seguida por América do Norte, Europa e Ásia. O estudo também observou que as mulheres têm uma prevalência maior de multimorbidade do que os homens e que mais da metade da população adulta mundial acima de 60 anos tem condição de multimorbidade.
