Análise de revisões sistemáticas e metanálises sobre o efeito de intervenções medicamentosas direcionadas à polifarmácia em idosos frágeis

Resumo: Esta análise de revisões sistemáticas examinou a eficácia de intervenções medicamentosas no gerenciamento da polifarmácia em idosos frágeis. A análise identificou 10 revisões sistemáticas, que incluíram 154 estudos. Revisões de medicamentos foram a intervenção mais comum, e as evidências sugerem que elas ajudam a reduzir o uso inadequado de medicamentos em idosos frágeis, mas seu impacto em escores de fragilidade e internações hospitalares não é claro. Intervenções em medicamentos lideradas por farmacêuticos foram as mais comuns, reduzindo prescrições inadequadas em vários cenários. Ferramentas de suporte à decisão clínica baseadas em computador também se mostraram eficazes. A qualidade das evidências variou de moderada a muito baixa, destacando a necessidade de pesquisas adicionais para estabelecer se intervenções dirigidas a polifarmácia poderiam ter papel positivo nas síndromes de fragilidade.
